Pink ODI between India and South Africa

    • The fourth One Day International cricket match being played between India and South Africa at Wanderers in Johannesburg on 10 February, 2018 was called ‘Pink ODI’.
    • This was the sixth Pink ODI for South Africa and second for India since 2013.
    • The South African team was in Pink dress in this match to show their support and create further awareness for Breast Cancer.
    • As per Cricket South Africa data, women in the country have a one in twenty-nine chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer – the most common disease amongst women.
    • The Pink Day is celebrated in order to raise funds for breast cancer patients across the country. The match played on February 10 was about the initiative of collecting money for the Breast Cancer Clinic at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital
