ICC Annual Awards 2018 winner list

International Cricket Council (ICC) on January 18, 2018 announced the winners of its annual awards. Awards are based on the performance period from September 21, 2016 to the end of 2017. Indian skipper Virat Kohli not only won the ICC Men’s cricketer and ODI cricketer of the year award, but he was also named as the captain of ICC test and ODI dream team.

  • Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year : Virat Kohli (Virat Kohli is just the fourth Indian to win the prestigious Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy, following in the footsteps of batting greats Sachin Tendulkar (2010), Rahul Dravid (2004) and teammate Ravichandran Ashwin (2016))
  • Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year: Steve Smith (Australia)
  • Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year:– Virat Kohli (India)

  • Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year: Rashid Khan (Afghanistan)

  • David Shepherd Trophy for ICC Umpire of the Year:– Marais Erasmus (South Africa)
  • ICC Spirit of Cricket: Anya Shrubsole (England)
  • ICC Fans movement of the year: India was defeated by Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy 2017
