Honorable President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind on December 27, inaugurated the centenary celebration of Indian Economic Association (IEA).
-On this occasion, association organized the 100th annual conference.
– Indian Economic Association, established in 1917, is a registered body of Indian Economic Professionals.
Objectives: It provides a forum for debate and discussion of theoretical and policy oriented issues of Economic Science.
-It organizes annual conferences, special seminars and lectures by eminent persons of the profession.
-Indian Economic Association is also a member of the International Economic Association.
-It had organized the World Economic Congress in collaboration with the International Economic Association, in New Delhi, in the year 1986.
-It publishes Indian Economic Association research journal.
