Minimum attendance made mandatory in JNU

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has first time made ‘minimum attendance mandatory’ for its students from the coming winter session. This decision was taken at the 144th academic council (AC) meeting held recently.

-Although, several students and teachers have opposed this moove calling it arbitrary, as thee issue never came up during the meeting.

-As per the circular, which is notified to the deans and chairperson of the schools and centres of the university, they have to maintain an attendance record of all students, including that of MPhil and PhD.
