5 stations under Northeast Frontier Railway awarded ‘Eat Right Station’ certification

Five stations under the Northeast Frontier Railway have been awarded the prestigious ‘Eat Right Station’ certification by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Stations Awarded Certification

• Dimapur Railway Station
• Alipurduar Railway Station
• Kokrajhar Railway Station
• Golakganj Railway Station
• New Mal Junction Railway Station

Dimapur Railway Station received certification valid from October 24, 2025, to October 23, 2027.

🧾 Why They Were Certified

The recognition followed a comprehensive audit covering:

• Hygiene and food safety at stalls and catering units
• Safe storage practices
• Proper waste management
• Availability of nutritious food options
• Training and compliance by food handlers

Stations had to meet strict FSSAI standards to qualify.
