78th Cannes Film Festival Awards

Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi’s film ‘It Was Just an Accident’ has won Palme d’Or– the top honour at the 78th Cannes Film Festival held in France. Panahi, known for his bold criticism of the Iranian government, has faced multiple arrests over the years. The film is a tale of five ordinary Iranians confronting a man they believed tortured them in jail.
