ADEETIE Scheme

The Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal has launched the national roll-out of the ADEETIE (Assistance in Deploying Energy Efficient Technologies in Industries & Establishments) scheme.

About ADEETIE Scheme

  • Objective: This ₹1000 crore initiative aims to help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) adopt energy-efficient technologies to transition towards a low-carbon economy.
  • Implementing Body: The scheme is under the Ministry of Power and implemented by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
  • Support Offered: ADEETIE provides comprehensive financial and technical support, which includes:
    • Interest subvention on loans (5% for Micro and Small Enterprises, 3% for Medium Enterprises).
    • Investment Grade Energy Audits.
    • Detailed Project Reports.
    • Post-implementation monitoring.
  • Target and Roll-out: The scheme targets 14 energy-intensive sectors and will be rolled out in phases, beginning with 60 industrial clusters.
  • Expected Impact: It is anticipated to mobilize ₹9000 crore in investments and help MSMEs reduce energy consumption by 30-50%, thereby enhancing their global competitiveness and contributing to India’s climate commitments.
  • Launch Event: The launch included the unveiling of the ADEETIE portal and scheme brochure, along with testimonials from MSMEs who benefited from its pilot phase.
