Amit Shah becomes longest-serving Home Minister

On August 5, Amit Shah became India’s longest-serving Union Home Minister, with a tenure of 2,258 days. He surpassed Lal Krishna Advani, who served for 2,256 days. The milestone coincided with the sixth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370.
