APEDA Launches ‘BHARATI’ to Boost Agri-Food Exports

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has launched a new initiative, BHARATI (Bharat’s Hub for Agritech, Resilience, Advancement and Incubation for Export Enablement), on the sidelines of the “Food & Beverages Sector Stakeholders Meeting.”

Vision for $50 Billion Exports
The initiative is aligned with APEDA’s vision to achieve $50 billion in agri-food exports for its Scheduled Products by 2030. BHARATI aims to strengthen India’s agricultural and processed food exports while creating a robust ecosystem for startups in the sector.

Empowering 100 Startups
Starting from September 2025, the inaugural pilot cohort will support 100 agri-food and agri-tech startups. These include high-value agri-food producers, technology-driven service providers, and innovative entrepreneurs.

Focus on Innovation and Opportunities
BHARATI has been designed to empower young entrepreneurs, accelerate startup growth, promote innovation, and unlock new export opportunities in the global agri-food market.
