The Telangana State Government has convened an all-party meeting involving Members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to deliberate on the proposed Banakacharla project by Andhra Pradesh.

  • Background:

    • Fears of unjust diversion of water away from Telangana’s share.
  • Irrigation Minister’s Statement:
The minister emphasized the need for a united political front from Telangana to safeguard its water rights and challenge the project at the appropriate forums.
