Banihal-Qazigund Tunnel

Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. Jitendra Singh has said that the work on Banihal-Qazigund tunnel is about to complete and it will be dedicated to the people soon.

• The tunnel along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) will be soon dedicated to the people.

• The Banihal-Qazigund Tunnel is 8.5-kilometre long and is at an elevation of 1,790 meters and it is the only four-lane twin tube tunnel in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
