BHARATI Startup Challenge

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, participated in IndusFood 2026, reaffirming India’s focus on innovation-led growth in the agri and processed food export sector.

BHARATI Startup Challenge Launched

As part of the event, APEDA organised the BHARATI Startup Challenge to:

  • Encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in agri and processed food exports
  • Identify and support export-ready startups

Support Offered to Startups

  • Mentorship and capacity building
  • Market access facilitation
  • Policy guidance and export enablement

Global Exposure for Selected Startups

Startups selected through the challenge will receive international exposure by participating in:

  • Gulfood, Dubai
  • BIOFACH, Germany

This will help them explore global markets, enhance competitiveness, and integrate into international value chains.

BHARATI Startup Zone Highlights

Another major attraction was the BHARATI Startup Zone, featuring over 100 exhibitors, showcasing innovations across:

  • Value addition
  • Agri-technology
  • Food processing and packaging
  • Logistics and traceability
  • Sustainable and export-oriented solutions
