Centre Launches Paripoorna Mediclaim Ayush Bima

The Department of Financial Services (DFS) under the Ministry of Finance has launched Paripoorna Mediclaim Ayush Bima, an optional health insurance scheme exclusively for Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) beneficiaries.

The scheme aims to enhance healthcare access by offering cashless treatment facilities, coverage for modern medical treatments, and access to a wide network of empanelled hospitals across India.

Key features of Paripoorna Mediclaim Ayush Bima include:

• Available exclusively to CGHS beneficiaries, with a maximum of six members per policy
• Indemnity-based in-patient hospitalization coverage within India
• Sum insured options of ₹10 lakh or ₹20 lakh
• Co-payment component, allowing beneficiaries to choose between 70:30 or 50:50 cost-sharing between the insurance company and the subscriber
• Offered as a retail insurance product for all CGHS beneficiaries
• No GST applicable, ensuring greater affordability
