Exercise Bold Kurukshetra 2025

The 14th edition of the India–Singapore Joint Military Exercise, “Exercise Bold Kurukshetra 2025,” has commenced on July 29, 2025, in Jodhpur, India, and will continue until August 4, 2025.

Key details of the exercise:

  • Participants: The exercise involves the 42 Singapore Armoured Regiment of the 4 Singapore Armoured Brigade and the Indian Army’s Mechanised Infantry Regiment.
  • Format: It will be conducted as a Table Top Exercise and Computer-Based Wargame.
    • Table Top Exercise: This is a discussion-based session where key personnel review and discuss their actions in a simulated emergency, testing plans in a low-stress environment. It helps clarify roles, responsibilities, and identify areas for improvement in emergency plans.
    • Computer-Based Wargame: These are wargames played on a digital device that simulate military conflict at various levels (tactical, operational, strategic). They are used for training officers in decision-making, testing new tactics, and predicting conflict trends.
  • Objective: The primary goal is to validate operational procedures for mechanised warfare, enhance interoperability, and improve joint training capabilities of both armies under a United Nations mandate. This ultimately aims to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation.
  • Culmination: The exercise will conclude with an equipment display by the Indian Army.
  • Significance: Exercise Bold Kurukshetra 2025 is expected to further consolidate the strong defense ties between India and Singapore, fostering greater mutual understanding and collaboration at both tactical and strategic levels.
