Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara—India’s specialised university for the transportation and logistics sector—has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amazon, the world’s leading e-commerce company.

• The partnership aims to strengthen industry–academia collaboration in logistics, supply chain, and warehousing.

• Knowledge sharing between GSV and Amazon across logistics, digital supply chains, and emerging technologies.
• Joint development of academic curriculum to enhance industry relevance for students.
• Collaborative research projects, particularly on data-driven logistics solutions.

Amazon Chair Professorship at GSV

• A major highlight of the MoU is the establishment of an Amazon Chair Professorship at GSV.
• The Chair will lead research in:
  • Warehousing sector efficiency
  • Data-driven decision-making frameworks
  • Advanced logistics and automation technologies
