Government Launches Logistics Data Bank (LDB) 2.0 to Boost Supply Chain Efficiency

As part of the decade-long Make in India celebrations, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry launched the Logistics Data Bank (LDB) 2.0, a step toward building a digitally empowered, investment-ready, and export-competitive economy.

Real-Time Tracking and Insights

LDB 2.0 will provide critical insights into facilities and infrastructure across India’s logistics ecosystem. The system enables real-time tracking and performance assessment, supporting better planning, higher efficiency, and reduced costs in logistics operations.

Benefits for Industry and Government

The Minister highlighted that the platform will serve as an important tool for industry and policymakers, helping improve supply chain management, strengthen competitiveness, and make logistics more business-friendly.

Developed by NLDSL

The enhanced system has been developed by NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDSL) as an advanced logistics tracking platform.

Key Features of LDB 2.0

  • High-seas export container tracking – enabling exporters to monitor shipments even after they depart Indian ports.
  • Multi-modal shipment visibility – covering road, rail, and sea transport.
  • Improved coordination with global partners and enhanced credibility in international markets.
