India Participates in 150th Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union in Tashkent

The 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, under the theme “Parliamentary Action for Social Development and Justice.”

  • Representing India, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla emphasized the inclusive spirit of the Indian Constitution, stating that it aims to treat all citizens equally, ensure equal opportunities, and uplift marginalized and backward communities into the “mainstream of progress.”
