QS Asian University Rankings 2026 Overview

  • The 17th edition of the QS Asian University Rankings includes 1,529 universities from 25 higher education systems, with 558 new entrants.
  • China (Mainland): Added 261 institutions, reaching 395, and regained its position as the most represented system.
  • India: Added 137 universities, taking its total to 294, the second highest in Asia.

Asian Rankings (Top Indian Performers)

  • No Indian university has entered the top 50 of the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026.
