International Conference on Dam Safety (ICDS-2026)

The International Conference on Dam Safety (ICDS-2026) was held at the J.N. Tata Auditorium within the campus of Indian Institute of Science under the Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP) Phase II & III.

Participation

Representatives from 12 countries attended, including India, Austria, Australia, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Canada, Zambia, Zimbabwe, France, Japan, Philippines and the USA.

  • Focus on ageing dam infrastructure, climate risks, and sustainability challenges.
  • Siddaramaiah stressed that dam safety is a national security imperative requiring science-based collaboration among governments, regulators, academia, and communities.
