Mausamgram-location-specific weather forecasts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has launched “Mausamgram” (Har Har Mausam, Har Ghar Mausam) — a unique citizen-focused weather platform designed to provide hyperlocal, location-specific forecasts across India.

Coverage and Accessibility: The system offers weather forecasts down to the village level, enabling citizens to access data through PIN code, location name, or by selecting state, district, block, and gram panchayat.

Forecast Details:

  • Hourly forecasts for the next 36 hours
  • Three-hourly forecasts for the next five days
  • Six-hourly forecasts for up to ten days

Language and Inclusivity: “Mausamgram” is available in all official Indian languages, ensuring easy access and understanding for users across diverse linguistic regions.

Objective: The platform aims to empower citizens with precise and timely weather updates, helping them make informed decisions in sectors like agriculture, transportation, disaster preparedness, and daily activities.
