Methandienone Long-Term Metabolite (LTM)

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, launched an indigenous Chemical Reference Material (CRM) for Anti-Doping Analysis at the 22nd Governing Body Meeting of the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) in New Delhi.

Methandienone Long-Term Metabolite (LTM)

The CRM, called Methandienone Long-Term Metabolite (LTM), is designed to boost accuracy in dope testing by widening the detection window of prohibited substances. This advancement strengthens India’s anti-doping framework and ensures fair play in sports.

Contribution to Global Anti-Doping Efforts

The newly developed material will be shared with World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)-accredited laboratories worldwide, thereby contributing to global anti-doping research and enforcement.

Collaborative Development

The innovation was jointly developed by the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) and the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati.
