MPLADS–eSAKSHI web portal

The MPLADS–eSAKSHI web portal was introduced by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) with effect from 1 April 2023 to digitally manage the revised fund-flow procedure under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).

Purpose of the Portal

With the launch of the eSAKSHI portal, the annual entitlement of Members of Parliament (MPs) is made available through online authorisations at the beginning of each financial year or at the start of a Member’s tenure. The system aims to ensure greater transparency, efficiency, and real-time monitoring in the implementation of MPLADS works.

Stakeholders Covered
The portal provides login credentials to all stakeholders involved in the scheme, including:

  • Members of Parliament (MPs)
  • The Central Nodal Agency – MoSPI
  • State Nodal Authorities
  • District Authorities
  • Implementing Agencies

Implementation and Execution
Under the scheme, District Authorities hold the primary responsibility for sanctioning and executing works recommended by MPs. According to scheme guidelines, sanctioned works are generally required to be completed within one year from the date of sanction.

Shift from Physical to Digital System
Before 1 April 2023, the MPLADS scheme was largely implemented in physical mode, involving manual documentation and fund release procedures. The eSAKSHI portal marks a transition toward fully digital administration, improving accountability and streamlining the fund-flow mechanism.
