NHAI launches Project Aarohan

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched Project Aarohan to support the educational aspirations of children of toll plaza employees. The initiative, announced by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, seeks to remove financial barriers and ensure equal access to quality education for students from economically weaker sections.

Coverage and Scholarship Details

  • The project will cover 500 students from Class 11 up to the final year of graduation.
  • Each selected student will receive an annual scholarship of ₹12,000 during FY 2025-26.
  • Additionally, 50 bright students aspiring for postgraduate and higher studies will be supported with scholarships of ₹50,000 each.

Application Process
Applications will be accepted through an online portal, where students must upload necessary documents, including academic records, income proof, caste certificate, and ID proof.

The initiative is expected to nurture the talent of students from marginalized families, empowering them to contribute to the country’s economic growth.
