Operation Crystal Fortress

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah congratulated the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Delhi Police for a significant breakthrough in busting a mega trans-national methamphetamine cartel under Operation “Crystal Fortress”.

• Massive drug seizure: A joint NCB (OPS Branch) and Delhi Police Special Cell operation led to the seizure of 328 kg of high-quality methamphetamine from a house in Chhatarpur, Delhi, on 20 November 2025 — one of the largest methamphetamine seizures ever recorded in the capital.
• Targeted crackdown: Operation Crystal Fortress is a coordinated, intelligence-driven campaign aimed at dismantling high-volume synthetic drug networks operating across borders.
• Complex trafficking network uncovered: Preliminary investigations reveal that the cartel functioned through multiple couriers, safe-houses, and layered handlers, using Delhi as a strategic hub for drug distribution both within India and to international markets.
