PM Launches ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ and Rashtriya Poshan Maah from Dhar

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 17 September launched the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (17 September–2 October 2025) alongside the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah (17 September–16 October 2025) in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. Both initiatives aim to strengthen women’s health, family well-being, and nutrition outcomes across the country.

Direct Benefits to Mothers Under PMMVY
Marking the occasion, cash benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) were disbursed to over 15 lakh beneficiaries nationwide, reaffirming the government’s focus on supporting maternal health.

Convergence of Ministries for Stronger Impact
The Abhiyaan is being jointly implemented by the Ministry of Women & Child Development and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. This partnership highlights the government’s emphasis on convergence, ensuring integrated delivery of health and nutrition services for women and children.
