  • Rise in India’s Honey Production: He shared that in the last 11 years, India’s honey production has increased to over 1.5 lakh metric tonnes, reflecting the growth of the sector.

    • The Khiamniungan are one of the major Naga tribes, residing across India and Myanmar.
    • The tribe’s name is derived from a compound of three words:
      • ‘Khiam’ – water
      • ‘Niu’ – great
      • ‘Ngan’ – source
  • Cultural Significance: Tsokum, one of the most important festivals of the tribe, is celebrated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their rich cultural identity.
