Sacred Jore Sahib of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Enshrined at Takhat Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib

On 1st November 2025, the sacred Jore Sahib — the blessed footwear of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji — was ceremoniously enshrined at Takhat Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib, Bihar.

  • Spiritual Significance:
    The Jore Sahib is a revered relic symbolising the divine presence and blessings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.
  • Guru Charan Yatra:
    • The enshrinement marked the culmination of the nine-day “Guru Charan Yatra.”
    • The sacred relics travelled with great devotion from Delhi to Patna, passing through Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
    • Thousands of devotees participated along the route, offering prayers and paying homage.
  • Permanent Enshrinement:
    The relics are now permanently housed at Takhat Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib — the birthplace of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji — allowing devotees to seek darshan and blessings for generations to come.
  • Historical Connection:
    Union Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Puri recalled his family’s centuries-old service to Guru Maharaj, noting that his ancestors were entrusted with the sacred relics over 300 years ago.

    The event stands as a historic moment for the Sikh community, reaffirming faith, devotion, and the enduring spiritual legacy of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.
