The Indian Army’s indigenous secure mobile ecosystem, SAMBHAV (Secure Army Mobile Bharat Version), played a critical role in Operation Sindoor, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said.

Launched as part of the Make in India initiative, SAMBHAV has been built in line with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat as an end-to-end secure mobile ecosystem.

Features: 5G-Ready & Multi-Layer Encryption

SAMBHAV runs on contemporary 5G technology, offering instant connectivity on the move. The platform is equipped with multi-layered encryption to ensure secure communication and prevent data leaks.

Secure Applications for the Forces

The system includes indigenous apps like M-Sigma, a secure alternative to WhatsApp, enabling officers to share documents, images, and videos without risks.

Collaboration with Academia & Industry

SAMBHAV has been developed in collaboration with national centres of excellence from academia and industry, using 5G-ready handsets and leveraging indigenous public cellular networks.
