Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial-cum-Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum in Chhattisgarh on 1st November 2025.

    • The museum is a living tribute to the valour, courage, and sacrifice of India’s tribal freedom fighters.
    • It especially honours Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, the legendary tribal leader who laid down his life resisting British oppression.
  • Project Details:
    • Constructed at a cost of ₹50 crore.
    • Features around 650 sculptures displayed across 14 thematic galleries.
    • Showcases Chhattisgarh’s tribal resistance movements and their contributions to India’s freedom struggle.
  • Digital Experience:
    Interactive and digital installations have been integrated to help visitors understand the tribal uprisings and the historical context of India’s tribal freedom movements.
  • Cultural and Historical Value:
    The museum aims to preserve and promote tribal heritage, instilling national pride and awareness of the crucial role tribal leaders played in India’s fight for independence.
