Tribes Art Fest (TAF) 2026

The Tribes Art Fest (TAF) 2026 was held at the historic Travancore Palace from 2–13 March 2026, bringing together a vibrant display of India’s diverse tribal artistic traditions.

The festival was organised by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the National Gallery of Modern Art.

Major Tribal Art Forms Displayed

The exhibition presented a rich spectrum of indigenous traditions, including:

  • Warli painting from Maharashtra
  • GI-tagged Gond painting from Madhya Pradesh
  • Bhil painting from Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh
  • Dokra metal craft from West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha
  • Sohrai art from Jharkhand
  • Koya art from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
  • Kurumba art from Tamil Nadu
  • Saura painting from Odisha
  • Bodo art from Assam and the North-East
  • Oraon art from Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh

Other Featured Traditions

  • Mandana art from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh
  • Godna art from Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh
  • Bamboo crafts from the North-East region
  • Rabha and Tamang masks from Alipurduar (West Bengal)
