Union Housing Ministry Launches “Angikaar 2025” Campaign

The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched “Angikaar 2025”, a last-mile outreach campaign under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0), in New Delhi on 4 September 2025.

Objectives of the Campaign

The campaign seeks to accelerate the implementation of PMAY-U 2.0 by:

  • Creating widespread awareness about the scheme across the country.
  • Fast-tracking verification of applications.
  • Expediting the completion of already sanctioned houses.

Focus on Credit Risk Guarantee Scheme

A major highlight of Angikaar 2025 is to inform beneficiaries and stakeholders about the Credit Risk Guarantee Fund Trust for Low Income Housing (CRGFTLIH) scheme. This will enhance access to affordable housing finance for low-income groups, thus strengthening the reach and impact of PMAY-U 2.0.

Towards “Housing for All”

The initiative aligns with the government’s vision of providing “Housing for All”, by ensuring last-mile delivery of benefits and addressing implementation gaps in urban housing missions.
