Union Law Minister Launches “Live Cases” Dashboard Under LIMBS

Event: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal inaugurated the “Live Cases” Dashboard under the Legal Information Management and Briefing System (LIMBS).

Date & Venue: 14th October 2025, at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.

Purpose:

  • Provides real-time data visualization of ongoing court cases.
  • Enables Ministries and Departments to track hearings and coordinate responses more efficiently.

Objective:

  • Streamline legal processes through technology.
  • Support data-driven and proactive decision-making in government litigation.

Context:

  • The Government of India is one of the largest litigants in the country.
  • The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to reduce the burden of litigation.

About LIMBS:

  • A central digital platform to monitor and manage court cases involving government entities.
  • Currently tracks 7,23,123 live cases across 53 Ministries and Departments.
  • Involves 13,175 Ministry users and 18,458 advocates actively updating case data.
