Union Minister Interacts with VAIBHAV Fellows at ESTIC 2025

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh interacted with VAIBHAV Fellows from around the world during a Round Table at the “Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC 2025)”, a 3-day event showcasing India’s innovation landscape.

    • Fellows praised the government’s efforts to institutionalize scientific engagement with the Indian diaspora through the VAIBHAV Fellowship.

  • About the VAIBHAV Fellowship Programme:
    • Implemented by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology, the VAIBHAV Fellowship aims to foster collaboration between scientists of the Indian diaspora and Indian higher educational or research institutions.
    • Under the scheme, a VAIBHAV Fellow identifies an Indian host institution for collaboration and may spend up to two months per year in India for a maximum period of three years.
    • The programme seeks to leverage global expertise for strengthening India’s research capacity, innovation ecosystem, and academic excellence.
