Vande Bharat Sleeper Train Completes Final High-Speed Trial

Indian Railways has successfully completed the final high-speed trial of the indigenously designed and manufactured Vande Bharat Sleeper Train under the supervision of the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS). The trial was conducted on the Kota–Nagda section, marking a crucial step before operational deployment.

Achieves 180 kmph Top Speed

During the trial run, the train achieved a maximum speed of 180 kmph. The CRS found the train’s performance at high speed to be fully satisfactory and formally declared the trial a success.

Designed for Long-Distance Travel

The tested rake comprises 16 coaches, specifically designed to meet the needs of long-distance passenger travel, expanding the Vande Bharat platform beyond chair car services into overnight journeys.
