VASTIK Web Portal Launched on CSIR-NIScPR’s 5th Foundation Day

On the occasion of the 5th Foundation Day of the CSIR–National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), the SVASTIK web portal was officially launched.

SVASTIK, an acronym for Scientifically Validated Societal Traditional Knowledge, is a national initiative being implemented by CSIR-NIScPR in response to the clarion call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The initiative aims to communicate India’s scientifically validated traditional knowledge to society in an authentic and accessible manner.

Dissemination of knowledge under SVASTIK is carried out through multiple channels in English and 19 Indian languages, along with five foreign languages, ensuring wide national and international reach.

The newly launched SVASTIK web portal will serve as a single, integrated platform providing access to all SVASTIK content. It is expected to significantly enhance outreach, accessibility and sustained engagement among researchers, policymakers, educators and the general public, thereby strengthening the dissemination of India’s scientifically validated traditional knowledge.
