Vice-President Releases Coffee Table Book on India’s Legislative Journey

Vice-President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan attended the ‘Constitution Day’ celebration on 26 November at the Delhi Legislative Assembly as the Chief Guest, where he released a Coffee Table Book marking 100 years of Shri Vithalbhai Patel’s election as the first Indian Speaker.

  • The Vice-President highlighted the historical significance of the Delhi Legislative Assembly building, which earlier housed the Imperial Legislative Council and the first Central Legislative Assembly.

  • The Vice-President recalled the successful conduct of the All India Speakers’ Conference 2025, which celebrated 100 years of Shri Vithalbhai Patel’s tenure as the first Indian Speaker of a legislative body.
