Wiley Research Heroes Prize 2025

Dr. Chandrakant Lahariya, former staff member of the World Health Organisation (WHO), has won the prestigious Wiley Research Heroes Prize 2025, becoming the first and only Indian to receive the honour so far.

The award, which attracted over 2,000 nominations globally, recognises individuals who ensure that research is inclusive, innovative and impactful. Dr. Lahariya won the prize in the “Impact Beyond Academia” category.

Global Recognition

Dr. Lahariya has been recognised among five researchers worldwide for outstanding research contributions and policy impact, highlighting the role of evidence-based research in shaping public policy.
