World Boxing Championship 2025

Liverpool, UK: India registered its best-ever medal tally at the World Boxing Championship 2025, finishing with four medals — two gold, one silver and one bronze. Notably, all the medals were won by women boxers, underlining their remarkable rise on the world stage.

  • Gold Medals:
    • Jaismine Lamboria (57kg)
    • Minakshi Hooda (48kg)
  • Silver Medal:
    • Nupur Sheoran (+80kg)
  • Bronze Medal:
    • Olympian Pooja Rani (80kg)

With these victories, Jaismine and Minakshi entered the elite league of Indian women world champions that includes legends such as six-time champion Mary Kom, two-time champion Nikhat Zareen, Sarita Devi, Jenny RL, Lekha KC, Nitu Ghanghas, Lovlina Borgohain, and Saweety Boora.
