Yashoda AI

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has launched an AI literacy program for women called “Yashoda AI” since May 2025. The program’s objective is to enhance digital inclusion and empower women across the country with AI literacy.

Key Highlights of “Yashoda AI”

• Objective: To equip women with skills in AI literacy, cybersecurity, digital privacy, and safe online practices.
• Target Audience: The program focuses on women from rural and semi-urban areas.
• Beneficiaries: As of the current date, approximately 2,500 women have been trained. This includes members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), local elected representatives (such as Sarpanchs and Mayors), ASHA workers, micro-entrepreneurs, students, and government officials.
• Purpose: The initiative aims to enhance the digital capabilities of women, thereby promoting their empowerment and inclusion in the digital world.
