About the Project

  • Jointly implemented by Deendayal Port Authority and Cochin Shipyard Limited.
  • Developed as a brownfield project (upgrading existing infrastructure).
  • Aims to strengthen India’s ship repair ecosystem, especially for large vessels.

  • 650-metre jetty.
  • Two large floating dry docks.
  • Workshops and marine infrastructure.
  • Capacity to repair ships up to 300 metres length (current limitation ~230 m).
