Coal Land Acquisition, Management Portal (CLAMP)

The Union Minister of Coal and Mines launched two major digital initiatives — the KOYLA SHAKTI Dashboard and the Coal Land Acquisition, Management Portal (CLAMP) — aimed at transforming governance and operational efficiency in the coal sector.

Key Highlights:

  • About CLAMP (Coal Land Acquisition, Management Portal):
    • A unified digital solution designed to streamline land acquisition, compensation, and rehabilitation & resettlement (R&R) processes in the coal industry.
    • Functions as a centralized repository of land records, facilitating better coordination among coal PSUs and government agencies.
    • Digitizes the complete workflow — from uploading land details to the payment of compensation, ensuring greater transparency and faster processing.
    • Enhances accountability, inter-agency coordination, and efficiency in land management practices.
    • Aims to minimize procedural delays and improve monitoring of land-related activities in coal projects.
  • Objective:
The CLAMP portal supports the government’s vision of leveraging technology to promote transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric governance in the coal and mining sector.
