Mega Tri-Service Exercise ‘Trishul’ Underway Along Western Border

The mega multi-domain tri-service exercise ‘Trishul’ is currently underway along the western border with Pakistan and will continue till 13th November 2025.

Key Highlights:

  • Participating Forces:
    • The exercise involves the Indian Army’s Southern Command, Indian Navy’s Western Command, and the Indian Air Force’s South-Western Air Command.
    • In addition, the Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force (BSF), and several central agencies are also participating, making it one of the largest coordinated exercises in recent times.
  • Scale of Participation:
    • The Indian Navy is deploying around 20–25 warships, enhancing maritime preparedness and operational readiness.
    • The Indian Air Force is contributing around 40 fighter jets, demonstrating air dominance and inter-service cooperation.
  • Objective:
    Exercise Trishul aims to enhance joint operational synergy among the Army, Navy, and Air Force, along with other maritime and security agencies.
    It focuses on multi-domain operations, inter-service coordination, and strengthening integrated combat capabilities to ensure effective response along India’s western front.
