Corporate Mitra Scheme

Corporate Mitra Scheme is an initiative of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to create a pool of qualified and trusted paraprofessionals to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in regulatory, financial, accounting, and governance-related matters.

  • The scheme will be launched with 2,000 participants, including 200 participants from the North Eastern region.
  • Youth up to 30 years of age are eligible to participate in the scheme.
  • Corporate Mitras will provide affordable and accessible professional assistance to MSMEs in areas such as:
    • Regulatory compliance
    • GST compliance
    • Accounting and bookkeeping
    • Financial guidance
    • Cost accounting
    • Secretarial services
    • Labour law compliance
    • Environmental compliance
  • The scheme aims to reduce the compliance burden on MSMEs, enabling them to focus on innovation, productivity, and business growth.
  • Corporate Mitras will primarily operate in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, expanding access to professional advisory services in emerging business centres across India.
  • The initiative seeks to strengthen the ease of doing business for MSMEs by making professional services more affordable and widely available.
  • The scheme will also facilitate direct industry attachment of participants with MSMEs and professional firms, providing practical exposure while enhancing the capacity of small businesses.
