Cremanthodium indicum-A new species of Himalayan sunflower

The Cremanthodium indicum is a new species of alpine plant belongs to the family of Himalayan sunflower.

  • This has been discovered in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang district.
  • The plant species which generally flowers from July to August, is endemic to Penga-Teng Tso Lake of Tawang district, where it was discovered.
  • A researched paper on this discovery was published in Biodiversitas: Journal of Biological Diversity.
