DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing)

DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) is India’s national digital platform for school education, providing free access to high-quality, curriculum-aligned digital learning resources for students, teachers, and parents in multiple Indian languages.

About DIKSHA

It is a flagship component of the PM e-Vidya initiative of the Ministry of Education, aimed at ensuring uninterrupted learning through digital platforms.

DIKSHA is known as the “One Nation, One Digital Platform” for school education.

Launched in 2017, the platform is spearheaded by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in collaboration with the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET).

Being an open-source and customizable platform, DIKSHA has been adopted by almost all States and Union Territories to meet their respective curriculum requirements.

The platform supports K–12 education, offering digital learning materials from Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) to senior secondary education.

DIKSHA enables personalized learning through:

• Unlimited practice questions and detailed solutions.
• Adaptive assessments.
• Competency-based question banks to identify learning gaps and facilitate timely remediation.

It also serves as a major platform for teacher professional development, hosting NISHTHA and state-specific Teacher Professional Development (TPD) modules, providing self-paced, certified training programmes.

DIKSHA integrates content creation, curation, delivery, assessment, and learning analytics, enabling evidence-based decision-making and improving learning outcomes.

The platform promotes inclusive, equitable, and joyful learning in alignment with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).
