Krishnamurthy Subramanian appointed as new Chief Economic Advisor

  • The Central Government on December 7, 2018 appointed Dr Krishnamurthy Subramanian as the new Chief Economic Advisor.
  • Dr Subramanian will have a tenure of three years.
  • The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared his name. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
  • He was appointed after Arvind Subramanian had resigned from the post in June 2018 due to family commitments.
