Why in News?
The 11th edition of the India–Indonesia Joint Special Forces Exercise Garuda Shakti commenced at Banyuwangi, Indonesia, on 27 October 2026. The exercise is scheduled to conclude on 6 November 2026.

- Enhance preparedness for operations in challenging jungle environments.

- Obstacle crossing and combat marksmanship.
- Mountaineering and air assault training.
