Exercise “Sanjha Shakti”

A joint Military–Civil Fusion (MCF) exercise, “Sanjha Shakti”, was successfully conducted from 08 to 09 January 2026 at the Diggi Range, Khadki Military Station, Pune, under the aegis of MG & G Area, Southern Command.

Focus on Seamless Coordination

The exercise aimed to strengthen coordination, interoperability, and joint preparedness between military and civil agencies in addressing complex security challenges and emergency situations. It showcased the ability of multiple stakeholders to operate in a synchronized manner during crisis scenarios.

Wide Participation from Civil Authorities

The exercise saw active participation from the Indian Army along with 16 key civilian agencies, including the Maharashtra Police, Force One, and Fire Fighting Departments. More than 350 civilian personnel, excluding Army personnel, took part in the exercise, reflecting a comprehensive whole-of-government approach.

Strengthening Operational Readiness

Through realistic simulations and coordinated responses, Sanjha Shakti helped refine standard operating procedures, improve communication mechanisms, and enhance mutual understanding among participating agencies.

Significance of Joint Exercises

Such joint Military–Civil Fusion exercises play a crucial role in boosting operational synergy and preparedness, enabling authorities to respond more effectively to emerging security threats, disasters, and emergency situations in an increasingly complex security environment.
