Hangry, EGOT new entrants to the Oxford Dictionary

Over 1100 words were added to the Oxford English Dictionary in January 2018. Some of the words added are very familiar to us and some are popular in other countries. But similarity is that these words are being used from long time, Oxford is giving them authencity and global acceptance by adding in their Dictionary. Some popular words being added are:

    1. Hangy: when we feel so hungry that we get angry and frustrated
    2. EGOT: An artist who has won an Emmy, a Grammy, and Oscar and a Tony award is called EGOT (abbreviation of the first letter of the awards). Only Helen Hayes, Rita Moreno and John Gielgud fall in this category.
    3. Mansplaining: It refers to the action of a man explaining something to a woman in a condescending way.
    4. Snowflake: It is used in a derogatory manner for a person who is overly sensitive and easily offended.
    5. Tomgirl: It is used for a boy behaves in girlish manner.
