Hyderabad Police Launch H-FAST to Curb Food Adulteration

In response to rising cases of food adulteration, the Hyderabad Police has launched the Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST)—a dedicated, intelligence-driven initiative to tackle unsafe food practices across the city.

• Objective: H-FAST aims to combat the growing menace of adulterated and spurious food products being manufactured in illegal and unhygienic units and supplied to eateries at low costs.
• Initial Team Strength: The unit currently comprises 28 personnel, including Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and supporting staff, with plans to expand as operations scale up.
